Hubli-Dharwad cities host a large number of Government offices outside Bangalore. Hubli city is primarily a commercial city which is very congested and has old looks. Dharwad city is very much similar to Mysore be it with its salubrious climate or clean roads or greenery. Hubli-Dharwad cities are separated by a distance of 23 KM, and lie right on the NH4 and Hubli is the division for South western Railways.Both the cities are well connected by Air, linking Mumbai,Bangalore and Hyderabad.Airport is under expansion to make it an all weather International airport which will soon boast a new terminal building.
