  1. We were having discussion about Kashmiri plant Madal in our WhatsApp group. I was lucky to find its mention on your wild flowers page. There are two entries of Madal one as Plectranthus rugosus, which seems reasonable as this small shrubby plant is very common in Kashmir valley, but the the image that is given with the same name does not match. The image given is of Salvia splendens, a plant very common ornamental plant grown in gardens, and not a wild plant. Could you please clarify.

  2. I agree it is a very useful page but needs a lot of correction in names. Please change PEGASUS HERMALA to PEGANUM HARMALA, LANATUMA MARRUBRIUM to MARRUBIUM VULGARE, THYMUS SERPHYLLUM to THYMUS SERPYLLUM (now correct name for our plant is THYMUS LINEARIS), CARDIUS NUTANS to CARDUUS NUTANS, CICCHORIUM INTYBUS to CICHORIUM INTYBUS, SOLANUM NIGRUM, DULCAMARA? to SOLANUM NIGRUM (SOLANUM DULCAMARA does not grow in Kashmir).

  3. Change ALTNEA OFFICENALIS to ALTHAEA OFFICINALIS, VERBACUM THAPSUS to VERBASCUM THAPSUS, FENICULUM VALGARE to FOENICULUM VALGARE, ACHILLIA MILLIFOLLIUM to ACHILLEA MILLEFOLIUM
