What is Mata Vaishno Devi and its significance?
Mata Vaishno Devi is the holy cave-shrine of Goddess Mahalakshmi, Mahakali, and Mahasaraswati. It is a very popular pilgrimage among Hindus. Devotees from around the world visit the shrine everyday. It is located in the serene-niches of Trikuta Mountains, forming a part of lower Himalayas.
In the cave shrine, there are-images of 3 deities or Godess Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasaraswati and all 3 of them are considered to be forms of Maa Shakti; Goddess of Energy.
Fortunately by Goddess Durga's grace, me with my family have been visiting Mata Vaishno Devi every year. My three-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Shronika and my wife accompany me to the trip. We all take Goddess Durga's name and happily enjoy the pilgrimage. Last year we also had a chance to visit Golden Temple in Amritsar and did darshan of Wahe Guru Ji. I am uploading a few photographs of Mata Vaishno Devi with some information about the places we use to visit during our trip.
Mata's auspicious Navratras have started and today is the first navratra. I have fasted today and my wife has kept all the seven fasts as she used to keep. This time ashtami and navami is coming on the same day. We will visit Maa Vaishno Devi again on December 15th.
