Navdal
is an ancient shrine located near Tral. This shrine is associated with
Shri Amarnath Yatra since earlier times. The shrine has nine small
springs, with a white stone Shivalinga in the main spring. About 12
kannals of land with number of trees forms the part of this shrine. As
per tradition Navdal Yatra, is undertaken by the pilgrims returning from
Shri Amarnath Yatra to this shrine. The pilgrims reach the shrine on
Sankat Tsoram (beuuderpeth), leave the stick, used for performing the
pilgrimage, at the shrine, an act called mansaavun and perform puja,
thus making the culmination of the Pilgrimage of Shri Amarnathji.
