Forty-four seats across three states - Gujarat, Maharashtra, Goa – and two union territories are casting their vote on Tuesday, 23 April, in the third phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
Two seats of Goa and one each of union territories – Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli – are also voting today.
Four Assembly seats in Gujarat and three in Goa are also polling simultaneously along with the Lok Sabha seats.

370 candidates, including BJP President Amit Shah are in fray in 26 seats in Gujarat. The BJP had won all the 26 seats in the state in 2014 elections.While Shah is contesting from the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat, Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Jaswantsinh Bhabhor is the BJP candidate from the Dahod seat.
Former minister Bharat Solanki of the Congress is contesting from the Anand Lok Sabha seat while Leader of Opposition in state Assembly Paresh Dhanani is the party's nominee from Amreli.
Gujarat has 4,51,52,373 eligible voters, including 10.06 lakh first-time voters. A total 2,23,775 personnel, including presiding and polling officers, and micro and sector observers, have been appointed for conducting the election process.
14 Maharashtra Seats Polling Today
Altogether 249 candidates are in the fray in 14 constituencies in the third phase of Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra.State BJP President Raosaheb Danve (Jalna) and NCP chief Sharad Pawar's daughter Supriya Sule (Baramati) are among the prominent candidates in fray.
Altogether 2,57,89,738 voters, including 1,33,19,010 men, 1,24,70,076 women and 652 members of the third gender, are eligible to exercise their franchise in the third phase
Two LS Seats, Three Assembly Seats in Goa Go to Polls
Polling for two Lok Sabha seats and bypolls for three state Assembly seats in Goa will be held in a single phase on Tuesday, election officials said on Monday.Over 1,600 polling booths have been set up for the elections in North Goa and South Goa Lok Sabha constituencies and Shiroda, Mapusa and Mandrem Assembly seats, they said.
There are 12 candidates in the fray for the two Lok Sabha constituencies and 18 for the three Assembly seats.
Around 11 lakh voters are eligible to exercise their franchise.
The by-elections in Shiroda and Mandrem were necessitated after their sitting Congress MLAs resigned and joined the ruling BJP. The Mapusa seat fell vacant following the death of its sitting MLA.
