Vitasta Diwas on the banks of Ganpatyar

During our sojourn to Harmukut Ganga this year for performing historic 'Mahashraaddh' in the sacred memory of our martyrs, our 5-member PK team, which included among others Kashmira Vahini west zone coordinator Smt. Vrushali Kaul, performed special pooja in the holy river Vitasta flowing in front of Ganpatyar Srinagar on the occasion of 'Veth Trovah' –This is the birth day of river goddess Vitasta, popularly known and celeberated in exile as 'VITASTA DIWAS' by Kashmiri Hindus accross the world. A boat ferried at the Ganpatyar -yarbal.

Smt Vrushali Kaul, Dr Agnishekhar ji recited mantras and performed pooja and I and Vrishaliji offered floral tributes and sweets to the holi river while Rahul Kaul, Vithal Chowdhari and Bhushan Lal ji attended the pooja from across the River Bank. A historic feat in terms of innovative observance of this year's "Vitasta Diwas''.
