Shrine in the village Kachwa Muqam, Wagoora, Baramulla, is situated on a
slope with a spring and ten poplar trees. Pandits of this village used
to go and offer Kshir (thickened milk) in the spring. Sh. Abdul Rashid
Lone a retired Lecturer who is presently residing near the shrine
disclosed that he has seen a white cat with earrings many a time, going
towards the spring in wee hours of the morning. He further disclosed
that a lion visits this shrine every Thursday. Sh. Abdul
Rashid Lone further disclosed that some persons vandalized this shrine
and in a month they were reduced from riches to rags.
Kachwa Muqam (Lat. 34-10 and Long. 74-28) is a village in the Kruhin
Pargana, situated on the right bank of the Ningili stream, about 19 km
from Baramulla. This village is situated on the slope of the Khrewa
(Wudar). 15 well off KP families were residing in this village.
